We are making a “Splash” in a 2 day Dairy Women event!
· The first day begins with our Spring Quarterly Meeting at 10 am:
· Discussion on Exciting changes to the state dairy women program.
· Changes and updates to the Dairy Ambassador program.
· Exciting Guest Speakers
· There is also a fun project and a game night with prizes!
If you didn’t think the first day was exciting enough, the second day includes:
· The Dairy Farmers of Washington and Dairy Council as they make a SPLASH-
milk splash that is, as they present a new interactive program for fairs and events.
· Share the successes of the DFW and Ambassador Program this past year.
· Opportunities to look forward to in the new year and how to grow our reach.
· Guest Speaker - sharing her experience as a dairy farmer and blogger
It will be an exciting presentation to conclude our PR Forum. We look forward to seeing all of you in Lynnwood on April 17-18th!
REGISTER TODAY! You can register for both days or 1 day. The cost of registration (includes lunch, project supplies, and hotel room) is $40.00 for 2 days or $20.00 for 1 day. We need to know how many rooms your county will need ASAP; but at the latest by APRIL 11th. A double queen room will be provided per county/unit. If there are four or more attending from a county/unit, a second room will be provided.

Please join our State and County Dairy Ambassadors in Olympia for Dairy Day at the Legislature, January 31, 2018. Washington State Dairy Ambassador, Anna Teachman will be joined by our Washington State Alternates and County Dairy Ambassadors, and other members of our Dairy Community to hand out dairy products at noon in the Legislative Building.
Join us for the 2017 WSDW Fundraising Auctions at the 2017 Washington Dairy Conference. The Scholarship auction will be November 6th and the Silent Auction will start on November 6th and end on November 7th. Here is a Sneak Peek at a few of the items that will be included in the auctions:

At 1:30pm we have planned a Darigold Plant Tour and we can carpool to that or even walk since we will be quite close to the plant.
And after that a tour to Boehm’s Chocolate and Candy Factory, which is also just down the street.
Also, the Dairy Council meeting is the following day, so you can make it a 2 day adventure. Make sure and check your calendars for these events.
Catch up with fellow dairy women from across the state, learn what is happening, take new ideas back to your county units!

Washington State Dairy Women Spring Quarterly
April 4, 2017
Meeting will begin at Appel Farms at 9:30am, 6605 Northwest Drive, Ferndale, Washington, followed by a tour of their new cheese plant at 10:30am and lunch at their deli, complete with their famous Gouda cheeses. And they have a gift store so you can take cheese home. Education, food and business all rolled into one.
Feel free to come the day before. A day early gives time for shopping in Lynden or the Old Fairhaven Village in Bellingham, or stop along the way at the Tulip fields in Skagit county. Either way it’s antique, flower, and craft heaven!
Reservations may be made at the Hampton Inn, Bennett Drive, Bellingham, WA 98225 (phone: 360-676-7700) or contact Darlene DeGroot for the group rate on rooms. The airport is close by the hotel, so if you wanted to fly in, we can pick you up or take the shuttle.
