Snohomish County Dairy Women Scholarships
There are two scholarships available (SCDW Scholarship and Purple Cow Scholarship). The information below applies to both scholarships unless stated otherwise.
Amount: $2000 (minimum)
Deadline: postmarked by April 1st
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be at least a senior in high school or up to 25 years old.
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.
- For the 2026 SCDW Scholarship:
- The applicant must either:
- Reside in Snohomish County, or
- Be associated with Snohomish County through their family who is actively engaged in the dairy cattle industry.
- Additionally, the applicant must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Be actively involved in a dairy cattle program (such as FFA or 4-H),
- Work on a dairy cattle farm, or
- Be employed in a dairy-related occupation.
- The applicant must either:
- For the 2026 Purple Cow Scholarship:
- The applicant must reside in Snohomish County, and
- The applicant must have worked at the SCDW Purple Cow booth for at least 20 hours per year for at least 2 of the last 4 years.
Application Requirements:
- Print and mail in a completed application form including short essay question.
- Include high school or most current transcript as appropriate.
- Include a letter or recommendation from an adult that has supervised your work at some point. This can’t be a parent and needs to be sent directly to Jane at the address listed below.
