State Scholarship Submission Requirements
You may apply for any and all state scholarships that you are eligible for with a single application form. Applications will not be reviewed or considered unless all items below have been received prior to the deadline:
- A complete application is required, please follow all instructions carefully.
- At least 2 letter of recommendation dated from the current school year. Letters must be emailed directly from the author to the WSDW Scholarship Committee Chairperson. The author’s typed name on the letter will serve as their electronic signature. Letters of recommendation cannot be from family members.
- As a separate attachment, a head and shoulders image of applicant in JPEG format
- As a separate attachment, a scanned copy of your most recent unofficial transcript obtained from the registrar. Transcript must include all courses taken at the school, through the most recently completed quarter or semester. If you have attended more than one school within the past year, include a copy of your unofficial transcript for each school attended in the past 12 months.
- Applications will only be accepted by email. The application and all supporting documents must be received by April 15th by the WSDW Scholarship Committee Chairperson. We will not review late or incomplete applications. It is the applicants responsibility to make sure all materials are received by the due date. Early submission of your application package is encouraged to verify that your two letters of recommendation have been received for your application. The WSDW Scholarship Committee Chairperson will confirm receipt of all applications and will verify if it is complete by email.
- Scholarship winners will be notified by June 1st.

Washington State Dairy Women Scholarship – University/College
Amount: $2000 minimum (number of winners and amount vary based on funds available)
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Applicant must qualify in one of the following ways:
- Applicant, their mother, or spouse must be an active dues-paying member of the Washington State Dairy Women by April 1st of the current year. An active dues paying membership includes being active in two or more county or state dairy women meetings or activities before September 1, 2023.
- An immediate family member of a household deriving its major income from dairying, working on a dairy, a dairy supported agri-business or indiviual pursuing a degree relating to the dairy industry.
- A current or past 4-H or FFA member in a dairy cattle related program.
- During the 2023-2024 academic year, applicant must be a sophomore or higher at a 4-year college or university. Scholarship can also be used for post-graduate study.
- Not have received this specific scholarship more than twice.
- Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher at time of application.
- Applicant must be a Washington resident.
Washington State Dairy Women Scholarship – Vocational/Technical School
Amount: $2000 minimum (number of winners and amount vary based on funds available)
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Applicant must qualify in one of the following ways:
- Applicant, their mother, or spouse must be an active dues-paying member of the Washington State Dairy Women by April 1st of the current year. An active dues paying membership includes being active in two or more county or state dairy women meetings or activities before September 1, 2023.
- An immediate family member of a household deriving its major income from dairying, working on a dairy, a dairy supported agri-business or individual pursuing a degree relating to the dairy industry.
- A current or past 4-H or FFA member in a dairy cattle related program.
- During the 2023-2024 academic year, applicant must be enrolled in an accredited vocational or technical school.
- Not have received this specific scholarship more than twice.
- Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher at time of application.
- Applicant must be a Washington resident.
Western Stockmen’s / Simplot Scholarship
Amount: $500 (2 available)
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a Washington resident.
- Intend to major in something directly related to the dairy industry.
- Be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student, enrolled full-time at a 4 year college, university, or community college.
- Not have received this specific scholarship more than twice.
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher at time of application.
AgWest Farm Credit Scholarship
Amount: $1000 (1 available)
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a Washington resident with a dairy industry connection.
- Preferably be majoring in finance, accounting, economics, business or agriculture business.
- Be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student, enrolled full-time at a 4 year college, university, or community college.
- Not be a child or grandchild of a NWFCS employee or board member.
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Scholarship can only be received once.
